I’m not into hip-hop at all but this song is simply good music. Such a shame that I heard it just a week ago when it’s out for almost a year now. Nevertheless it sounds great.

Good news for my friends is good news for me :)

Someone made a video for “The Honeycomb”-one of the latest tracks from Z-Arc better known to me as one of my best friends ever Kris. He was surprised to find out about it; I was delighted to hear about it :) And the result is beautiful. Bravo to the author-for the talent and for the great choice of music ;)

Of course the acknowledgement of the first Z-Arc (unofficial which makes it even more valuable) video is undoubtedly necessary :)

Retrospective

People tend to exaggerate their own importance. And that is OK-it is natural, it’s human nature. But…once you see yourself as a tiny particle of dust drifted like a feather in the wind, once you realize that what happens to you will not affect the way world goes, then your own problems start to seem not that serious at all.

Something strange happened to me yesterday and I couldn’t help feeling anxious although there’s no use to worry over what may be only in your mind. And then I thought: “What’s the worst that can happen? And if it does happen will that be so tragic?” And I calmed down.

This morning on the bus on my way to work I was reading as usual. I noticed a man was staring at me but I paid no further attention-it’s a free country. Just before getting off he leaned to me and whispered in my ear: “Leopold von Sacher -Masoch. Check it out”. I did and now I’m deeply puzzled if I somehow provoked that. I was reading “Walden” for Christ’s sake and the only thing Thoreau and Masoch have in common is the times they lived in. At least now I know the etymology of “masochism”.

BTW, so far Henry David Thoreau seems as one of a hell wiseacre. “I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” What a delusion to think that the essence of life could be found in isolation. I initially resent people who think they know everything.

I got my fist, I got my plan, I got…my tickets :)

The plan is no secret to people that care to know me at least a bit: to check as “done” a few NiN concerts in Europe this summer. And now I’m one but absolutely mandatory step closer. Last night I bought tickets for 2 shows:

As for fists-I certainly hope they won’t be necessary :)

The perfect prank

or how TR made fools of us all :)

To me April the 1^st was, second, Wednesday and, first, the first working day of the month which meant that situation at work was expected and was in fact a roller coaster out of hell. So at about 7 PM when work was done and the domestic zoo (a dog + a cat + cat #2) was taken care of the time was right to finally stretch my legs and see what’s new on TR’s Twitter profile. And new there was:

“Are you ready??”

Hello?! What did I miss?

A few minutes later there was an update:

“tick tock, tick tock”

What the hell is he up to now?

The answer followed shortly after:

“I've been busy. Brand new FULL LENGTH NIN record available now.Link.”

OMG! He didn’t! Really?!

Clicking on the attached link led to opening a new tab:

Now, a few bells indeed rang on seeing this but there was no time to listen to them. I was at first struck by the alleged album cover. What the fuck is this!? A Jon Bon Jovi best of? A midlife crisis gone bad? Second-the price seemed way to high for a download. But why am I wasting time wondering about details? All NiN fans know that after TR went independent downloading his latest work can be a nerve-breaking experience when hundreds of thousands of people try to get their hands on it at the same time. I must be fast and beat the traffic! Enter email, re-enter email, submit, voila and, oh shit!

Oh, man, it’s the 1^st of April! Duh!

Then I returned to the “new album” page and found out it was indeed hilarious:

- “produced by Timbaland”;

- song titles such as “even closer” and “still hurts”;

- collaborations such as "Justin Timberlake and Maynard James Keenan", "Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas and Al Jourgensen", "Jay-Z and Bono".

Of course, that’s all just as impossible as NiN performing at the Super Bowl Opening ceremony. I’m surprised TR didn’t include Eddie Vedder’s name anywhere ;)

(although, on second thought, Jay-Z and Bono isn’t THAT impossible)

It was a good joke indeed but with TR’s reputation for a workaholic fooling his fans was a piece of cake. I'm sure everybody clicked on that link just in case-with TR you never know. At least I’m glad he didn’t post false tour dates :)

A light in the tunnel :)

Last night 3 more concerts were added to the NiN tour schedule and so far it appears those will be regular concerts. WHOOHA! The chosen venues look big, very big but still that seems a much proper way to say “goodbye” than to be drown in a sea of people as it would happen at a festival.

Oh well, there’s no going back now anyway. At least I know I'll add another dream to the list of memories. And that always feels great :)
