If you can't change them, ignore them

I like to keep things simple. And quieter. It could be one of the reasons I like animals better - they don't talk rubbish. Sure, I wouldn't turn away from a good conversation... but they rarely are so. Hopefully one of these days someone will invent a gadget that would muffle all surrounding sounds, a silencer of some sort, an introvert's dream come true. It's not that introverts dislike other people - introverts are simply overwhelmed to receive the whole package. They prefer their attention channeled and undisturbed by spam noise and humans are sometimes...let's say too human for their taste.

When???

OK, it's almost March. Where's the new album? Where are the tour dates? Didn't we wait long enough already? Duh!

Tipping point

Memory goes in mysterious ways - you never know how it will work. Something from a couple of days ago can leave no trace as if it has never happened, and something from a decade ago can remain forever fresh in the mind.

Like that February 19th, 2007 - the day of my very first Nine Inch Nails concert at Razmataz Club in Barcelona. Yes, exactly 10 years have passed. And I still remember every detail, even my outfit to the very last bit :) But the most remarkable thing about that day and that concert is that it changed everything for me. I am who I am now because I dared to go. Who would've thought?

Happy anniversary to me!

The wisdom of the aged

Today, just as on any other Saturday, I am at my favorite café and, just as on any other Saturday, that dear old lady is here. A couple of winters ago she slipped on a frozen sidewalk, broke her hip bone and, because she's over 80 years old, she couldn't fully recover and is still using a cane which makes it difficult for her to open the sliding door and when she leaves the café I jump to my feet to open the door for her. Each time she is ever so grateful and tells me what a good kid I am (like I said she's in her 80s) but today she stopped and said “When are you going to make some lucky guy happy?” and before I could laugh in response she went on “But they're all morons so it could be you’re better off without one.”

Well, I'm not Miss Perfection either but indeed I can't say that I'm unhappy with my status.

It has begun

This week brought a long awaited update - Thirty Seconds to Mars announced some twenty concerts for the summer of 2017 (hooray!) but it's a joint tour with MUSE (umm, whatever, MUSE are ok) and all the shows are in the United States (shit!).

I hope there will be an European tour as well because the United States are off limits... and I don't mean just money.

Fashion statement :)

There's a Bulgarian fashion label that I'm a huge fan of, and I like them not out of patriotism but because their clothes are outstanding both in design and quality.

Last week I went to one of their stores and, while browsing through the 2017 spring/summer collection, I saw that absolutely gorgeous cotton blouse. I couldn't take my eyes off of it, thinking “This is the perfect outfit for the Placebo gig in July!” And then I turned it around to check the back of the blouse and on it, stretched from sleeve to sleeve, was the sign “Protect me from what I want”.

No, I didn't buy it (yet) - it's awfully expensive, but it feels really good to know that I am not the only one eagerly expecting that concert :)
