Under pressure

So many things I must do-to buy a flying ticket to Bratislava; to book a hotel in Bratislava and Prague; to find a way to return from Prague; to find as much as possible information about Bratislava and Prague (maps, public transportation etc); to decide whether I’ll celebrate my birthday at all (God, I just hate, hate, HATE my birthdays; I always have, since my early childhood) and if yes to decide where and whom with…ARRRGGGHHH !!!

I need a vacation-a looong one. I think I’m allergic to my job. How unique…:(

You can find lots of info on Google and also on this website you can download guides for free:

I hope you'll find a travelling companion -even though, if you ask me, travelling on your own is always the best.

When was the last time you’ve traveled on your own? I feel dizziness just thinking about all the frustration that I’ll have to through again. But I have no other choice anyway.
Thanks for the link; I hope I’ll find some useful information there.

Last time I travelled on my own was this February when I went to New York. I am going to Oslo on my own in July (and will be sleeping on a ship!). I travel to Italy on my own quite a lot as well.

When you travel on your own you only have yourself to look after. No responsibility for anyone or anything! Marvellous :)

And there you go with your “glass-is-full-up-to-the-edge-stop-murmuring-and-get-a-life” point of view. You’re right, of course, and I’m wrong. But I’ve finally come to my senses and I’m almost done with my preparations on my August journey. I’m flat broke as it is but I don’t care-it’s only money. It feels good to have at least the illusion I’m in control.

Brava Vera! I think as long as you feel good about your plans, it is all worth it. Even being on the verge of poverty :)

A friend of mine just paid 110 euros for a pair of shades. That’s more than what I’ll pay for my two nights stay in Prague. “Why?” I asked, “you could find good shades for much less money”. “But they are Armani!” she exclaimed, “Emporio Armani to be exact; Giorgio Armani were even more expensive”. Huh, I couldn’t care less even if it was the two of them put together.
To me money means mostly safety and dignity. There’s a saying “Hunger is the mother of prostitution”. Luckily I’m not THAT broke…yet :))
Bah, it is worth it but I don’t have to tell you that because you know it. Everyone’s paying for one’s poison of choice.
