Err...duh!
To all my male friends and colleagues who were considerate enough NOT to congratulate me with the alleged Women’s day: thank you for sparing me the irritation. I (or any other woman for that matter) deserve no credits for being born a woman. Period.

No, we deserve no credit, but 8th March is not only about having been born a woman is it... it is about remembering the women who cannot be remembered because they had/have no voice. It's their only 'official' day, in a way. The rest of the year, unfortunately, not many people remember them (just think of the women in Iran or Afghanistan and other Islamic states, for example: treated as if they were 'impure' in their own countries, by their own men, while the West forgets about them more often than not!).
Milla, I asure you that all the men who congratulated me today had nothing of the sort on their minds which is precisely why I'm irritated.
