You’d hardly find a blog that have passed by “Avatar” without its owner’s praise or blasphemy (though this is beyond all reason that movie isn’t everybody’s cup of tea after all…which shouldn’t come as a surprise since there are people who don’t get "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"). “Everybody’s free to lack good taste” as a friend put it some time ago. Kidding of course. There is no accounting for tastes. What I, in my turn, don’t get is the “pleasure” some people derive from evaluating a work of art as if rating a school test. So and so points on the plot, so and so points on directing etc smartass bullshit. Did you like it or not-that’s the only thing that should matter. After all movies are all about magic and illusion-if you look too closely it’s not going to work for you.
